What We Do

We develop curriculum, administer and deliver training and certification programs that teach high standards of risk management for aspiring hiking, rock, alpine, ski and mountain guides and climbing instructors.

We uphold and advance the profession of mountain guiding and climbing instruction in Canada by holding members accountable to the ACMG's policies and procedures including our Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice, and Professional Practice and Continuing Professional Development standards.

We aid in the professionalism of our members through public advocacy and program delivery.
