Tuition and Travel Insurance

All student tuitions are insured through the A.W.G Dewar Tuition Refund Plan. Please review the policy overview to better understand the coverage and its limitations.

ACMG partner, Acera Insurance, offers Training and Assessment Program students optional trip cancellation/interruption insurance, which includes limited medical coverage. To request a quote or purchase a policy online, complete their online form. If you have further questions about coverage, contact [email protected] or 1-877-542-8577 or 1-250-542-8577.

Withdrawals and Tuition Refunds

Up to and including the posted course or exam payment deadline, students can request to be withdrawn and will receive a full refund of any tuition paid. For withdrawal requests received after the posted course or exam payment deadline, tuition will be retained by the Training and Assessment Program and students will be directed to submit a tuition insurance claim and be subject to the terms of the insurance policy.

Application and Payment Deadlines

Incomplete applications or applications with unmet prerequisites at the posted application deadline will not be accepted. Applications completed or received after the application deadline, will be subject to a $110 late application administration fee at the time of enrolment.

Tuition must be paid in full on or before the posted payment deadline to maintain enrolment. Students with outstanding balances after the payment deadline has passed will be withdrawn. Student requests for re-enrolment will be considered based on availability and subject to a $110 administration fee.

Protected Grounds Accommodation Request

The Training and Assessment Program believes very strongly in helping people reach their potential and function in ways that work best for them within the Association. Students faced with a condition or situation related to race, religious beliefs, skin colour, gender, gender identity, gender expression, physical disability, mental disability, age, ancestry, place of origin, marital status, source of income, family status or sexual orientation which prevents them from complying with ACMG policies or expectations can submit an online Accommodation Request.

Respectful and Inclusive Learning Environment

The Training and Assessment Program is committed to providing a respectful and inclusive learning environment where everyone is treated equitably and with dignity. We believe in a culture free of harassment, discrimination, violence, and bullying - allowing everyone to contribute fully, and having equal access to opportunities and all that the mountains have to offer.

Instructors and students are expected to support the dignity and human rights of all people, irrespective of race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religious beliefs, gender, gender identity or expression, age, physical disability, mental disability, marital status, family status, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, certification or other discernible trait or characteristic. This expectation extends beyond training and assessment programs and is integrated into the ACMG’s Code of Conduct.

If you experienced a form of harassment, discrimination, violence, or bullying, the incident can be reported confidentially through the online Prohibited Conduct Reporting Form.
