Mountain Professional Critical Incident Stress Management (MP-CISM) is recruiting experienced mountain professionals to join its volunteer peer responder team.
Successful applicants will take part in ICISF training October 4-8, 2026, near Revelstoke. MP-CISM is looking for respected professionals who are good listeners, have the support of their employers, and are willing to provide confidential peer support to colleagues following critical incidents.
Since becoming operational, MP-CISM has responded to 99 critical incidents and supported approximately 587 mountain professionals. As demand continues to grow, expanding the peer team is an important priority.
