The Association of Canadian Mountain Guide's vision is to serve and be trusted as the national leaders, ambassadors and stewards in mountain travel and climbing activities and instruction.

The Association of Canadian Mountain Guide's mission is to protect the public interest in mountain travel and climbing instruction through:

Training and Assessment

Training and assessing future guides and instructors to the highest standards of risk management

 

We develop curriculum, administer and deliver training and certification programs that teach high standards of risk management for aspiring hiking, rock, alpine, ski and mountain guides and climbing instructors.

 

We uphold and advance the profession of mountain guiding and climbing instruction in Canada by holding members accountable to the ACMG’s policies and procedures including our Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice, and Professional Practice and Continuing Professional Development standards.

 

We aid in the professionalism of our members through public advocacy and program delivery.
