Yvan's career guiding has many facets as he was involved in first descents in the whitewater rafting industry since 1980 exploring and establishing commercial rafting in the Eastern Slope of the Rockies, NWT,Yukon, Alaska, British Columbia and in particular commercial rafting in Norway in 1983. Since joining the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides Yvan transitioned as a Professional Skier gracing the pages of Powder Magazine and numerous publications in the Mid 90's. Guiding at CMH for six formative years and embraced the opportunity of mentorship with legends in the heli-skiing industry. Yvan has been a founding guide in the Northwest Ranges of British Columbia at Northern Escape Heli-Skiing based in Terrace BC where there's a snowfall phenomena. As a professional member of the Canadian Avalanche Association Yvan worked on legacy projects such as T2 Kemano Project for 6point Engineering and also working with Boost Systems HECS. His involvement in rescue has proved an asset in commercial guiding and Industrial Construction spanning 30 years.
