Member Identification and Insignia

ACMG members can provide any interested party with a link to their annually renewed ACMG Member Identification Card, which shows membership status, active scopes of practice, and active permits. Only ACMG members who have completed a comprehensive training and assessment process and have maintained their skills and currency through professional practice and continuing professional development can display and advertise with the ACMG's insignia. Only fully accredited Mountain Guides are permitted to use the IFMGA insignia.

Interested parties should contact ACMG members directly to request a verifiable link to their annually renewed ACMG Member Identification Card. The ACMG ID Card indicates the member's name, membership number, membership type, current professional scope of practice, ACMG AB and BC Provincial Park Permits, and first aid certification status.

Any party wishing to authoritatively verify claims of ACMG membership and scope of practice should consider an ACMG ID Card to be valid and verified only when that card is served from https://id.acmg.ca. For the purpose of verification, the QR code presented on an ACMG member's ID card provides a convenient and direct link back to the individual member's card.

ACMG Professional Members are endorsed by the ACMG with a professional scope of practice for instruction or guiding as indicated on the back panel of the card. ACMG ID Cards for staff members, board members, honorary members, and awarded inactive members do not indicate an ACMG professional scope of practice for guiding or instruction.
