Guidelines for Commercial Guiding on BC Crown Land
The province of British Columbia is endowed with an awe-inspiring array of terrain, much of it spectacular, undeveloped, and unprotected. It is no surprise that so many people want to visit and that adventure tourism operators seek to make full use of this land base to grow their businesses. As a result of competitive needs, the provincial government developed a system of land-use authorization that would grant permission for commercial operations (forestry, mining, adventure tourism, and others) to operate in
ways that minimized potential conflicts.
