Support
The mountain guiding community in Canada is remarkably supportive. Should you ever encounter an incident or issue, the ACMG can provide assistance with financial, mental health, or advocacy support. The ACMG is a member of the Mountain Professionals Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Association, which provides mental health support in the event of involvement in a critical incident. Financial support is also available through several different scholarship and assistance funds.

Although ACMG members are often geographically separated, the Association provides opportunities for them to interact at various levels:
- Members, regardless of location, have the opportunity to meet virtually with colleagues via semi-annual Zoom Tables.
- The ACMG and its members have strong ties to industry partners, including the ACC, CAA, AvCan, HeliCat Canada, CSGA, IGA and OCC.
- The ACMG offers its members the opportunity to interact face-to-face through social gatherings, such as the Mountain Meet-Up and other events.
- The ACMG's Informalex group email service allows members the opportunity to share up-to-date route conditions and information, as well as other topics of interest.
